Cape Home
In the westernmost part of the Morrazo´s Peninsula, in O Hío parish, is the site of Cape Home.
Undoubtedly this site worth visiting Donón, a small traditional village surrounded by farmland and mountains, the cliffs where barnacles grow and from where you can enjoy spectacular views of Cies Islands, three lighthouses that mark the entrance to the Bay of Vigo, Melide beach, which is surrounded by an extensive dune pine forest, and O Facho Mountain, where the oldest shrine of pilgrimage in Galicia has been discovered. At the top of O Facho, more than one hundred Roman altars honoured a deity called Bero Breo.
Sunsets from this site are spectacular, and may be that’s the reason why people had created a sanctuary there.
